Small CVS Haul - Using Covergirl to Subsidize what I actually want ($2.63 money maker)
I intended to get two $5.59 Covergirl products but I wasn't carefully looking at what I had in hand. Also, one my insert coupons didn't apply so I fell back on Checkout 51 instead for the 2nd Covergirl product. Despite these errors, I still came out ahead (even accounting for sales tax), though it would have been a slightly larger money maker without the mistakes. I've started to be more mindful of taxes in my shopping because money is money.
- 2x Covergirl Eye products, one at 5.99, one at 5.59
- Use $4 instant CRT
- Use $3 from 9/8 Save (I had 2, but only 1 worked)
- Get $6 Extrabucks for buying 2 Covergirl
- Submit to Checkout 51 for $2.00 on Covergirl
- 2x Foaming Method Hand Wash
- BOGO 50% at $5.19 (+ $2.60)
- Get $2 ExtraBucks for buying 2
- Submit to Swagbucks for $5.00 back on 2
- Summary
- $5.99 + $5.59 + $5.19 + $2.60 = $19.37 + tax
- $7 in coupons
- $8 in Extrabucks earned
- $7 in rebates earned
- Final net cost: -$2.63 money maker + tax
