New and sharing some strategies

Hi! I’m new and wanted to share some of my strategies that I’ve picked up over the past decade. On average I save around $2,500 per year my maximum savings with coupons was $6,000 in 2009.

  1. Stay organized! I use receipt files from the container store.

  2. I use the Receipt Hog app once per week to scan receipts. I found them to be more flexible with receipts versus Ibotta. I recoup about $100 per year.

  3. If you utilize CVS Pharmacy for prescriptions/vaccines they give you significant kickbacks. This year I’ve received $250.00 in extra care bucks/coupons.

  4. For credit friendly people I recommend the Kohls charge. They give deep discounts year round. I’ve saved $1,000 through Kohls cash/coupons this year.

  5. Hobby Lobby Hacks:

  • Hobby Lobby furniture, custom framing, books, and wearable art are always on sale.

  • Craft items, jewelry, and jewelry-making items go on sale every three weeks.

  • Hobby Lobby puts home and wall decor on sale once every other week.

  1. Michael’s Sales Hacks:
  • Ask for a price match at Michaels — you’ll get an extra 10% off the competitor’s price!

  • You can always find a “20% off All Regular Price Purchases” Michaels coupon. Loyalty members get cash back now as well.

  • You can stack a coupon with a Rewards Voucher.

  1. Groupon and local libraries for reduced or free passes.

  2. BJs member’s let’s you share a membership with someone not in household.

  3. Aldi/Trader Joes are one in the same so stock up on essentials at ALDIs it’s the same products with a different label.
